In the next 12 months, 16% of participants plan to purchase a home; 26% plan to purchase a car.

Ninety-one percent of participants have attended college or have some advanced degree or education.

Seventy-three percent of runners and spectators spend one or more nights in DC, with 66.7% of visitors staying in hotels or motels. The total gross impact of the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run on the Washingon, DC Metro Region economy equals over $4 million for race weekend.

Ninety-three percent of participants attend the expo; during their stay visitors spend an average of $141.06 each in the Washington, DC area.

Approximately 25% of the participants traveled more than 50 miles to the DC area to run. These runner visitors spent an average of 2.4 nights in the area.
